We received an email from a man called Andre. He lived in San Francisco and was a windsurfer. He wrote to tell us that he had been to Adicora many times, at least twice a year for 3 years, and he came across our web page during a net search. He wrote to ask if he could meet us when he came down, as he always felt a little lost here with no english speaking people. He also called us on the phone as it got nearer to his arrival time to remind us that he was coming. We had an image of a long-haired teen windsurfer, and wondered what on earth we would have in common with him!
One day, I heard someone calling me at the gate, a very fit looking gentleman that looked much like Spencer Tracy, and he introduced himself to me as Andre. He was certainly NOT what we expected..instead, he was an entertaining and very interesting man whose company we enjoyed thoroughly over a week.
He had a lady friend here called Graziella and we took them for a drive around the peninsula one day, visiting the Salt Lakes, abandoned hotel and all the way up to Smuggler's Cove. We were very pleased to make his acquaintance and we look forward to seeing him again. We will certainly stay in touch via email! It was great to meet you Andre!! |
