....I can't believe they actually gave me my own page! I feel so special!!

A New Addition to our misplaced family!
On the night of Nov 24th, Mark and I were eating dinner and we could hear this annoying whining. We thought a dog might have gotten it's head caught in our gates or something, so I went out the front door to have a look. I went as far as our gate and couldn't see anything, but could still hear it.
Mark followed me out and let out an amazed "WHOA!!"
He had almost stepped on this tiny lump that we are sure was abandoned on our porch. I have no idea how I managed to step right over it!
She was starving and could barely stand or see. She wasn't a well puppy at all! She looked only about 4 weeks old, not even old enough to be away from it's mother.
She drank a ton of milk that night and we watched her carefully. The next day she threw it all up and we didn't hold out much hope for her.
I couldn't get to a store to buy any proper puppy food for at least another week and so we had to feed her cookies and milk with some raw egg now and again.
But..just to prove us wrong, she got stronger every day, especially with the help of dozens of vitamins that we purchased.
We came close to buying a Boxer puppy (that we called Vinnie) from a pet store last year, and this puppy looked almost like her.
So..we called her Vinnie..before we realised it was a she!! So now she is Vinnie...short for Vignette!!

We have given her a birthdate of October 24, 2000..one month before we found her and I now proclaim from this date that that is the date we shall use for all legal purposes!

It's now January 8th, 2001 and she's about 3 months old and growing in leaps and bounds. We have no idea how big she will become..but she's more than a handful to deal with!!
